Monterey Aquarium and Peninsula

We head down to the Monterey Peninsula to go visit the famed Monterey Bay Aquarium. First we drove thru Salinas and make a quick stop at all my local hangouts while growing up. Also in Monterey we drove around Pacific Grove, Cannery Row (where we had lunch), over toward Carmel Beach and ended our trip at Monterey's Fisherman's Wharf. Wow, what a fun filled day.

Toby and I enjoy the sun here in picturesque Monterey.

We awe at the impressive kelp forest display.

Look I'm getting all clammy!

One of the newer 'wave' displays at the aquarium.

Me at the tide pools outside the aquarium.

We walk over to the Fish Hopper for lunch. It's right over the water in Monterey's Cannery Row.

We drive past Lover's Point in Pacific Grove.

The weather and scenery were spectacular in Pacific Grove.

Just over the hill in Carmel the fog hung around. But it was still nice. We walked along the white sands of Carmel Beach.

..isn't he sweet...

Back over the hill we stop by Fisherman's Wharf.
