Dave Koz concert at Mountain Winery

The gang heads up the Saratoga Hills for an evening of dining and the saxaphone music of Dave Koz at Mountain Winery.

After work on Thursday, Stephanie and Toby meet me at my office in Mountain View and then I drive us down to Saratoga where we meet up with Tony, Louie, Julie and Kelly at the Mountain Winery. Louie knows Dave Koz so our group had special VIP passes to meet the band backstage between sets and after the show. Before the show we had a nice outside dinner at the Chateau patio.

The concert was fun, lively and entertaining. Dave Koz had a variety of guests on his tour from pianist David Beniot, vocalist Kelly Sweet and Phil Perry, and backup band: keyboard Brian Simpson, bass: Bill Sharpe, guitarist Randy Jacobs, and on drums Stevo Theard. For the encore, he played his KKSF hit "You Make Me Smile".

After the show, we met some members from the band and were able to get our CDs autographed, as well as take photos. Thanks Louie for arranging a wonderful evening!

The show started promptly at 7:30pm. We sat in section D bleachers. It was the perfect evening for a concert in Saratoga.
