San Francisco Pride 2011

On a clear day we head up to San Francisco for the annual San Francisco Pride festival and parade. We take BART from Millbrae up to Powell Street Station and then work our way toward the Civic Center for a better spot. We staked out a spot that wasn't too many people deep and eventually found our way up to the very front. Many contingencies from various organizations, businesses paraded by. Some of them blared dance music and almost everyone was decked out in colorful outfits to celebrate the day. We saw a few hours of the parade before we decided to hit the fair area around City Hall. We entered the festival area from the back area and it was crowded. After getting a chicken Thai stick and a Cosmo we sat on the grassy area in front of City Hall just watching the crowd go by... very entertaining. By late afternoon we headed home. It was fun celebrating Pride in the city. HAPPY PRIDE EVERYONE!
