Hike to Borel Hill

On a nice warm Sunday we head up to the Skyline Open Preserve and hike to the top of Borel Hill on Russian Ridge. From the top of Borel Hill provided views above Palo Alto and the entire Bay Area from San Francisco down to San Jose. There was a controlled fire in the Santa Cruz hills which created a red smoky haze that covered the western view toward the Pacific. We will have to hike this again on a clear day.
